Ljubljana 2004
The Study Group had its second meeting at the 2004 EGPA Annual Conference, in Ljubljana. The aim of the workshop sessions was to present an overview of European research on ethics and integrity of governance with relevance for the practice of European governance and government. Following the broad call for the first meeting in 2003, the call was somewhat more focussed. Particularly, the papers subjected the following topics:
- Basic concepts and theories: towards conceptual clarity
- The typical/dominant values in the public sector
- Changes and developments in the judging, discovering and investigating of corruption
- National integrity systems and their (dis)functions
- The management of (organizational) integrity
- The limits and evil of ethics (management)
